Money saving Party Tips and Party Ideas

It's true that no one likes a party pooper but if you are hosting a special
event it can easily take a big toll on your bank balance, and even
more so if you also have to buy the alcohol.
We have put together a list of some great money saving tips and ideas
for when you next are organising your next special event.
You will always save money by hosting the party at your own house. If your
house is to small or to far away maybe some close friends will be happy for
you to host the party at there place.. as long you agree to clean up afterwards of course.
If someones house isnt an option because there is just to many friends and family
to invite then the second cheapest option is usually school halls and community
centres as the fee the charge is usually small.
Another great way is to make the party BYO. At first you might think this would
make you sound " cheap ! " but to get around this simply make a theme to the party
such as throwing a " Cocktail soiree "
All you would need to provide then is mixers glasses and ice and your guests would
bring along 1 or 2 bottles of something each..
Another idea is to have your own Wine Tasting party. Tell everyone to chip in and
buy some cleanskin wines. These usually only cost around $6 a bottle or $40 for
a case which gives even more saving.
Another great way to save on alcohol is to purchase it online. There are many
great online websites where you can save alot of money rather than paying the higher
prices which are found in your general bottle store.
A very popular party idea today is to throw an " Around the World Party ". With this
all of your guests are assigned a country and they come to your event wearing something
that matches that culture and also bring alcohol and food that matches that culture. Snack
finger food works best for the food if possible.
When it comes to entertainment instead of paying large amounts for bands you can save
money by hiring a professional DJ service. Make sure they supply you with referances
or you have a good idea of some of the clients that they have serviced.
If anyone else has any great suggestions we would love to hear them so we can post
here for others... :
