Millionaire Bars Recipe

Ingredients
Shortbread Layer
• Butter (One stick)
• All-purpose flour (One cup)
• Granulated sugar (One-third cup)
• Salt (One-fourth teaspoon)
Caramel Layer
• Butter (Eight tablespoons)
• Sweetened condensed milk (One can, 14 ounce)
• Light corn syrup (Four tablespoons)
Chocolate Layer
• Milk chocolate (12 ounces )
• Butter (One tablespoon)
• Sea salt

Directions for Preparation

1. Heat the oven at 175c. Then prepare a pan (8x8”) and line it with a foil while draping its edges too. Now spray some non-stick cooking spray over the foil.
2. For shortbread layer, take a food processor and mix together sugar, salt, and flour properly. Now add small butter pieces and mix till the whole mixture becomes crumbly. Now transfer this mixture to a prepared pan and press it firmly on the pan. Now bake it for next 20 to 22 minutes till the shortbread layer becomes light golden in color. Set it aside to cool down.
3. For caramel layer, take a deep bowl that is microwave safe. Now melt butter (eight tablespoons) in it for one to two minutes. Once the butter has melted completely, add some sweetened condensed milk & corn syrup. Put it in microwave for 6 to 8 minutes and stir after every half a minute. Gradually you will see that the mixture begins to thicken up and become light golden brown in color.
4. Now pour caramel layer on shortbread layer and wait for it to cool down.
5. Take a bugger microwave-safe bowl and then add milk chocolate (12 ounces) & butter (one tablespoon). Microwave it for next one minute at 50% power and stir. Continue this process with 20 seconds augmentation and stir in between till the chocolate becomes smooth enough.
6. Now pour this chocolate on cooled layer of caramel and sprinkle some sea salt over it. Wait for 10 minutes and then put it in a refrigerator to cool down for next half an hour.
7. With the help of foil handles, you can easily lift the bars from the pan, cut it into equal pieces and serve immediately.
