Donut Muffins

Ok - so you adore the taste of donuts, the smell of that cinnamon... but they're so hard to make, unlike muffins. Well I may just have the answer for you: a MINI- muffin that TASTES just like a real donut..... i kid you not!!! And just as easy to make as any muffin. Read on below and I'll tell you how.
INGREDIENTS:
Quarter cup butter, melted
One cup all-purpose flour
Half cup white sugar
Half cup milk
One Tea/Sp baking powder
Half Tea/Sp ground nutmeg
TOPPING:
Quarter cup butter, melted
One Tea/Sp ground cinnamon
Half cup white sugar
METHOD:
1. Preheat your oven to 190 degrees C. Using butter, grease 24 mini-muffin cups.
2. Using a large bowl, combine the melted butter, white sugar and nutmeg and mix together. Stir your milk through, then blend in the flour and baking powder.
3. With your mixture, now HALF-FILL each mini-muffin cup. Place in your pre-heated oven for fifteen-twenty minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
4. Whilst they are cooking prepare your topping. In one bowl place the quarter cup melted butter. In an 2nd bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon.
5. When your muffins are ready, remove them from their cups, 1st completely dunk each muffin in the melted butter. 2nd - roll it around gently in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Now, allow to cool - and serve.
