This Boy and Girl

You could see it in their eyes when they first met
Saying they would stay together, it was a sure bet
And here they are 5 years from the day
When they gave love a chance and now they will finally say

I do, and I love you with all my heart
And yes we'll be together until the day we part
And now looking at them at the end of the aisle
He just stands there admiring her smile
Now we're celebrating this day with love and joy
All because they fell in love, this girl and boy

Some believed early on it just wouldn't last
These kids were just taking it way too fast
People began to talk and people started to fuss
After all six years difference is a bit much
But they knew they would make it, yes they would strive
And now on this day they are finally taking the dive

Now they're walking out that church with smiles on their face
And arms and hearts lifted up singing Amazing Grace
Bubbles are being blown, and rice in the air
Doves being released and soaring way up there
We're celebrating this day with love and joy
All because they fell in love, this girl and boy

Now here's the toast so lift up your wine
I would like to say a few words before we dine
God bless my brother and his new wife
And please bless them for the rest of their lives
Now she's dancing with her daddy, mom with her son
People slowly come in to join in the fun
