Hey there! First... Take a look at this video, to see some cool new and fun things we have for you....

These are one of those marvelous, versatile recipes where by changing up a couple of the key ingredients it gives you very different results.  For example, you can use yellow cake mix with chocolate chips or m&m's, chocolate cake mix with colourful m&m's, red velvet cake mix with chocolate chips or m&m's, or any of these varieties with your choice of small jubes.  You can choose any cake mix to give you the desired colour and taste, and any little filler you desire to sprinkle throughout your mixture and voila - you have several different amazing looking cookie bars.  The choices are endless! Not only that, you can even alter whether you'd like the bars to come out all soft and gooey...or hard and firm like a cookie, simply by adding minutes to your baking time.

These little numbers are THAT versatile, and always a hit with friends and family at a party - especially with the kids.  Imagine how much fun children will have letting their imaginations run wild creating different styles of cookie bars for everybody to enjoy - you could even make it into a little competition at a kids party, the recipe is THAT easy.  All you'd have to do is set out the wide variety of ingredients, oversee the children in the kitchen of course, and have a great time yourself experimenting along with them.  Then let the birthday boy/girl be the taste tester and pick the winner!! How much fun could you have (and keep those kids busy for a while ;) )

But for now, here's the recipe for the easiest chocolate chip cookie bars you'll ever make in your life.

INGREDIENTS:

One box yellow cake mix
One small box instant vanilla pudding
Two eggs
Quarter cup water
Three-quarters cup vegetable oil
One cup chocolate chips

METHOD:

1. Preheat oven to 180 C.
2. In a large bowl combine all of your ingredients. Mix well, your batter will be quite thick.
3. Grease a 10x13 baking dish & pour your mixture in.  Bake for 20-30 mins.
4. Your batter should still appear quite shaky & may appear not thoroughly cooked - this is exactly as is should be for the soft & gooey bars.  But if you would like the hard, firm cookie bars - simply bake for a further 10 mins.
