Chocolate Layer Cake

Ingredients for Cake
• Granulated sugar (Couple of cups)
• All purpose flour (1 ¾ cups)
• Baking soda (1 ½ teaspoons)
• Baking powder (1 ½ teaspoons)
• Salt (One teaspoon)
• Sifted unsweetened cocoa (Three-fourth cup)
• Couple of bigger eggs
• Buttermilk (One cup)
• Vegetable oil (Half a cup)
• Vanilla extract (Couple of teaspoons)
• Boiling coffee (One cup)

Ingredients for Frosting

• Soft unsalted butter (One cup)
• Powdered sugar (Four cups)
• Vanilla extract (One teaspoon)
• Milk or cream (One-third cup)
• Salt 

Directions for Preparation
Cake
1. Heat the oven at 175 degrees c and then grease & flour couple of round cake pans (8 inches each). Set them aside.
2. Take a big bowl and mix granulated sugar, baking soda, salt, flour and baking powder. Now add cocoa and mix again. Add buttermilk, vanilla, oil and eggs, and mix them properly.
3. Prepare coffee in a cup and boil it in microwave. Now gradually add some coffee to the batter and mix properly. 
4. Transfer the batter in prepared pan and bake for next half an hour. Once baked set it aside over wire racks to cool it down.
Frosting
1. Take a bigger bowl and the butter in it at low speed with the help of a hand mixer for couple of minutes.
2. Set the mixture in a low speed and add some powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Now raise the speed to medium and mix till it becomes smooth enough for next three minutes. In case if frosting is hard, you can add some milk, or it its thin you can add some powered sugar. Now add some salt.
Assembling the Cake
1. Put the cake with its bottom side up over a cake stand/plate. Now take a spatula and spread a uniform layer of frosting over it. Put second layer of cake over it with bottom side down and press gently. Cover them up with frosting and you can decorate them as you desire.
2. Serve immediately or store in refrigerator for up to one week.
