Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies
How to make Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies...
What You Need
• 1 ½ cups of packed brown sugar
• 1 cup of chopped dried cherries
• 2 cups of quick cooking oats
• 2 eggs
• 1/3 cup of hot water
• 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips
• 1 ¾ cups of all-purpose flour
• ½ cup of sugar
• 6 tablespoons of softened butter
• 6 tablespoons of shortening
• 3 teaspoons of grated orange peel
• ½ teaspoon of salt
• ¾ teaspoon of baking soda
• ¾ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
• 1 ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
How to Prepare
• Soak the cherries in hot water in a small bowl for a minimum of 10 minutes.
• During the 10 minutes, cream the butter, sugars and shortening in a large bowl till the mixture is fluffy and light. Now beat in the vanilla, eggs and grated orange peel.
