80s Decorations

Often parties are based around a certain decade to bring back nostalgic memories of that decade and to relive the past. The 8os is certainly a decade that is worth reliving again and again. It is a really good idea to base a party around the 80s and to relive the decade that gave us Michael Jackson, Madonna, Guns and Roses, Bon Jovi, Metallica and many more sensational artists along with great movies such as Back to the Future and later episodes of Star Wars. It is fair to say, therefore, that this decade was an outflow of colours and sounds and is certainly one of the greatest decades yet in the history of mankind in terms of culture.

Planning an event with this style of theme can be a lot of fun and such an event can be decorated keeping in mind the sheer amount of icons and historic movies, music albums and television hits that were present during this period. A party based on the 80s certainly has to have an excess of everything; this means bring in as many lights as you can and make the party area come alive with them. Things such as the Disco Party Light and the Disco Pool Light can prove to be exactly what you need as far as lights are concerned. 

These lights will not only the light the event up but will also make dancing to your favourite songs a lot of fun by making the place look like an old disco. As far as songs are concerned, you are certainly not going to face a shortage of great hits from that era considering the sheer amount of iconic musicians that emerged during that era. Of course songs are not exactly part of the decorations of a party, however they can certainly give that much needed ‘feel’ that can make a party a big hit.

Decorating an 80s themed event can be a lot of fun!!

You can also put life size cardboard figures of icons that emerged in the 80s such as Michael Jackson and Madonna. Along with such figures, ask everybody to dress up as their favourite 80s personality. This will make the occassion look really wild considering the crazy pop and rock stars that emerged during the this era along with the great actors that started their movie careers during this era such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis. The craziness and sheer amount of colour that the celebrities of that time will be seen in your event as well since all your guests will be dressed as them.

LED furniture will also go really well with this style of celebration. Making the party area light up with funky LED furniture will do wonders for your themed party and will certainly add the overall look of the night. There are plenty examples of LED furniture that you can place around to make it look every bit as eccentric as the 80s were. led cube chairs will look great in the party area. Apart from providing a place to sit, these chairs will also look really good in a relatively more dark area. 

Another icon of the 80s is the Rubik’s Cube. This cube can be utilized to give the festivities an overall vintage feel. The Rubik’s Cube was all the rage during the 80s. All you have to do is to place a few Rubik’s cubes around and encourage the guests to play with them to make the event look like a scene out of the eighties. This will not only give the party an eighties feel but will also add to the general entertainment of the night.

You can also incorporate the movies that were big hits during the 80s to decorate.Place posters of movies like the Star Wars and E.T, Indiana Jones and so on. If you or somebody you know has a projector or if you can get one for rent, then play your favourite movies from those years somewhere around your house to give an eighties vibe.
