Snowman Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 package (450 grams) vanilla-flavoured candy coating (almond bark)
• Betty Crocker™ Decorating Decors snowflakes
• Orange jimmies candy sprinkles
• 1 pouch (500 grams) of Betty Crocker™ sugar cookie mix
• 1/2 cup of softened butter
• 1 egg
• Black confetti candy sprinkles
• Betty Crocker™ Decorating Cookie Icing chocolate icing

How to Prepare
1. Heat your oven to 190°C. Now, in a moderately-sized bowl, mix the butter, cookie mix and egg until a soft dough forms. Separate half of the dough and roll it into walnut-size balls, and then flatten them slightly on a parchment-lined or ungreased cookie sheet. Next, roll the other half of the dough into marble-size balls and place them on a cookie sheet; do not flatten these.
2. Bake the dough balls for 7 to 9 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown. Once backed, cool these for about 5 minutes or until cookies are firm enough to be transferred to a cooling rack. Cool completely before frosting.
3. Heat the candy coating in a large microwave-friendly bowl in a microwave for 30-second intervals until it can be stirred smooth
4. Follow the following steps on a surface covered by waxed or parchment papers. Place a dot of the melted coating on the bottom of a small cookie stick the bottom on one edge of a larger cookie. Now spoon coating over the entire cookie, allowing some to spill over edge of the larger cookie.
5. In order to make the eyes on the snowman, place two black confetti pieces on the small cookie and an orange candy sprinkle in centre under the eyes for a carrot nose. Place three black confetti sprinkles on the bottom cookie to make buttons. Finally, use the cookie icing to draw on arms. Sprinkle with these with snowflakes and allow them to dry completely.
6. Now serve or store cookies in an airtight container.
