Cocktail parties are supposed to be a get together of friends and colleagues over drinks at your house. They usually last for 2 - 3 hours which is a good thing as you will not need to spend a lot of time hosting the party which can be tiresome. Cocktail parties are not that hard to plan out as many people would tell you. The most important strategy you can use to save yourself from all the stresses involved in planning a party is to keep a clear idea of what kind of supplies you will need to order and try to pre-order all these supplies sooner rather than later. If you're having a cocktail party which is more of an informal affair then you can order cocktail accessories that are a little different and funky so that all your guests enjoy using them.
Let's start of by discussing glassware which you can use at your event. Instead of using your normal everyday wine glasses and champagne flutes you can use products that are completely unique and which can also be an interesting point of conversation for you and your guests. If you want to serve shots at your cocktail party a great product to purchase would be ice shot glasse trays. The unique feature about this product is that it’s a shot glass made completely out of ice. These will surely "wow" all your friends when they figure it out.
These ice glasses are incredibly simple to make. All you need to do is add water to your party glass mould's and stick them in the freezer and after the liquid has solidified take the shot glasses out and fill them up with your drinks. To make the experience even better you could add flavor and food colors to the liquid in the mould. This will be great combined with drinks like vodka etc. The best part in using these shot glasses is that you can easily dispose of them after they have been used. The best examples of such products would be flashing martini glasses, champagne glasses and wine glasses. These glassware items are made out of plastic and flash in a bunch of different colors and if you garnish them with fresh fruits or olives they look even better. Your friends will surely appreciate your creativity and they will all compliment you on throwing such a unique cocktail party.
To serve cocktails and margaritas you can use a party pitcher, which also flashes in several different colors, to go with your glassware. It would be best to make two to three different flavored cocktail drinks in different pitchers so that your guests can help themselves to their favorite drinks. Be sure to garnish the pitcher with some fruits in accordance to the flavors of the drinks. Meaning if you're serving a strawberry flavored cocktail garnish the pitcher with strawberries or if it’s a mango cocktail then garnish the pitcher with slices of mangoes. All you have to do is wedge the fruit on the side of the pitcher and you're good to go.
To serve wine at your cocktail party you can use ice wine coolers to make the wine nice and cool and ready to serve to your guests. All you have to do is fill in the mould and place it in the freezer for about twenty four hours and then simply take it out and place it in the drip tray. These ice wine coolers look immaculate when you dress them up with fruits, berries, petals and shells you can even add food color to it to give it a different color. These decoration items look amazing frozen in the ice. These are perfect to serve wine and champagne bottles in and besides being a beautiful way to serve these drinks it also serves the dual purpose of chilling the wine or champagne bottles.
The most important thing to consider when throwing a cocktail party is planning. Planning is the key to any successful event and you need to pre-order all your supplies so that you are not faced with last minute errands. People usually only pre-order supplies a week before the actual event which is the worst thing you can do. Be sure to pre-order you supplies at least a month in advance so that even if you are short on supplies or need some more you can easily order new ones with time to spare. You need to enjoy the party you are throwing instead of taking stress over supplies so pre-order a month before to save yourself from added hassles.
