Selecting food for your next childrens party
Children are extremely picky on what they want to eat and it can be a real stress to run around your child to get them to eat nutritious food that is good for them. Hence you will have to make the food appealing and colorful so that the children you invite to the party enjoy your food. The food needs to be related to the theme of the party and it should be familiar to the children.
Children love dessert such as cup cakes as they are vibrant due to different colors in frosting as well as sprinkles. They are a yummy treat loved by both adults and children alike. If you plan on keeping cup cakes at the party make sure they are miniature cup cakes so that the children at the party can handle them more easily. It's quite easy to make miniature cupcakes at home using a mini cup cake maker. This ingenious device is a must have for all your parties as you can seven mini cup cakes every 5 minutes all you have to do is preheat the device and pour in the kind of mixture you want and that’s it. You will have seven mini cup cakes in five minutes flat.
At this rate you will be able to make your desired amount of cup cakes in a matter of minutes and you won't need to go to flashy bakeries to buy expensive cup cakes. Now all that is left to do is add some frosting to the cupcakes. Frosting is the easiest and cheapest choice available you can simple just use different food colors and make different colored icing for the cupcake and simply cover them with slight sprinkles. However, if you want your cupcakes to be extra special you can even make figures and shapes using a special kind of icing called fondant. This is however a bit tricky for beginners and will require a bit of practice. Besides cup cakes you can make chicken nuggets for the kids. Children love nuggets in any shape or form so serving them can be a great idea. If you have a pirate theme for your party then you can call these chicken nuggets "golden nuggets". Other food items like french-fries and burgers can also be served at the party. You can have a theme of sponge bob square pants and name the burger and fries a crabby patty meal. The kids will surely enjoy the idea. You can make the burgers on a barbeque grill at home so that they have the great taste of a char grilled burger. The children at the party will surely fall in love with the burgers.
Of course you can't serve the crabby patty meal in your fine china so you can use plastic party plates which are disposable. Using these plates will benefit you in two ways. Firstly they will not have to clean them after they have been used once you can simply discard them. Secondly if any of the children drop them, which is a high probability, it will lead to no damage what so ever so in a way these plates are safer than your regular china. And for drinks you can use red American plastic cups.
Mini pizzas are also a great item to serve at a kids birthday party as children love to eat pizza covered with loads of cheese. If you want the children to eat healthy you can even make veggie pizzas with lots of capsicums, sweet corn, etc the children won't notice the difference with all the cheese of the top.
It should be noted that every child is different and while most of the children at the party will have no allergies some might. So before you prepare any dish you should call all the parents and ask them personally if there is any kind of food their child is allergic to. It's always best to be safe than sorry especially when your celebrating your child's birthday. So to make the party run smoothly without any hindrances you need to take in to consideration the ingredients you will be using in all the dishes.
The party will be a huge hit with the kids if you plan it out well and keep your thoughts organized. All you have to do is order the supplies on time and have a clear idea of what you want in your head so that you can achieve the goals you have set for yourself more easily. At the end of the day you and all your guests should have fun and feast on all the yummy food you have made for the party.
